Brooklyn 01 is the first renovation in NYC developed by singularity studio. This project had a very tight budget and an incredible short timeframe. To achieve these constrains the studio elaborated a two faces construction program to allow the clients to move in as soon as possible. The first face had the most intrusive parts of the renovation: demolishing walls,  electrical work, plastering and painting.

The Second part had the installation of new floor and millwork allowing the clients to move into their apartment at the beginning of this one.

The existing apartment was a railroad type with 5 rooms along its length without hierarchy or define areas.

The main idea was to open up the space and create three zones: the public, the private and the hummed zone. The public zone which is the main central and organizer area has the dinning room,  living room and home office.  On the south side it is hummed zone which has bathroom and kitchen and on the north side, the private zone with two bedrooms.
